About Alice

Alice L Walker was born in Evanston, IL. Her father, a pianist and painter introduced her to the ballet Swan Lake when she was four year old, and her path in the arts began. After years of study, Alice performed with several prominent ballet companies before being cast as a dancer in Thomas Carter's film, Save The Last Dance.  Injuries prevented her from continuing with the rigors of company life and so began her transition into acting in both film and TV as well as musical theater. She trained at Piven Theater Workshop in Chicago before studying under Robert Carnegie at Playhouse West, Larry Moss and Art Wolff. Alice also writes screenplays and children's stories. She also has been known to teach musical theater, having directed over 25 musicals and several ballets.

The time has come, the walrus said, to talk of many things: of Shoes and Ships and Sealing Wax and Cabbages and Kings.
